2020 BVT Community Charge Accounts

Bournville Village Trust (BVT) are the long term stewards for Lawley Village and have recently published the 2020 community charge accounts. Benedict Croft, Chair of Lawley Management Committee explains the role of the committee, the reasons for the delay in the reporting of the accounts and the forthcoming committee elections.

Fellow Resident, as you may be aware Lawley Management Committee is a resident led committee that provides oversight of BVT’s activities in Lawley and sets the strategic goals for the team to work towards. We will be holding elections to this committee during 2022 and I invite you to make contact for an informal conversation if you would be interested in being involved as a resident representative. I can be contacted through the Lawleystewardship@bvt.org.uk email address.

BVT apologise for not publishing these accounts for the past couple of years, which has been due to a number of changes within the team and services over the last two years. Now the new dedicated team in Lawley has been established, we are working on improving our performance, communications and ways to involve you to help support the future of services within Lawley Village.

We have now produced an annual statement that explains how we have used your Community Charge money to deliver and improve services in Lawley. We will ensure that we produce them for residents to view each year as soon as the audited accounts are available, which is normally around the end of May early June.

The BVT team in Lawley have been tasked with providing residents with open and transparent reporting of their work and so will also produce other performance data, such as key performance indicators (KPIs) and survey results for residents to view and the team will keep you updated on progress.

Lawley Management Committee will monitor progress at our regular committee meetings to ensure this is being delivered. Lawley Management Committee is a resident led committee that provide oversight of BVT’s activities in Lawley and set the strategic goals for the team to work towards.
