Eileen Hewer Community Fund

Every year, the Eileen Hewer Community Fund awards grants to groups working for the benefit of the Lawley community and its residents.

It is funded by charge payers’ contributions and is part of the stewardship agreement. The Community Fund itself was renamed in 2017 by the Lawley Management Committee to honour Eileen Hewer, a local resident who sadly passed away in 2016 after contributing years of community work in Lawley.

If you run or belong to a community group or organisation that is based in Lawley or benefits Lawley Village residents, you can apply for a grant of up to £2,000 annually. Grants can also be given to projects that enhance the environment or provide facilities for the community to use.

The application form asks for details of the project, organisation and the anticipated benefit to Lawley residents. Applications are reviewed by the Lawley Management Committee and are voted on by members, of which there are always Lawley residents present.

Previous grants have paid for equipment for local groups, organisational costs for groups and contributions to charitable causes.

To apply, please complete the application form below (which will open in a word document) and return it to lawleystewardship@bvt.org.uk or contact us if you need any support completing your application.
