Meet Dilini - Lawley Community Hub artist in residence

Posted on: 22 Mar 24

Recently we’ve launched our community art project (www.bvtlawleyvillage.org.uk/blog/2024/03/13/lawley-community-art-project/). We know there are many talented artists in Lawley, and some are now artists in residence at Lawley Community Hub in the Village Square. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing you to the artists and you’re welcome to pop in and look at the fantastic artwork displayed within the Lawley Community Hub.

Today we’re pleased to introduce Dilini, who is one of our Artists in Residence at the Community Art Gallery in Lawley Community Hub. Dilini’s style is watercolour on paper, she has a keen eye for flowers and wildlife. Dilini is a very active member of Lawley’s community, not only does she showcase her work in the Hub, she also is a member of the Lawley Village Green Group and participates in many environmental projects. You may see Dilini in local art exhibitions or at craft fayres. If you would like to exhibit here or view/buy any pieces of work, please drop into the Hub on Lawley Square. To join our Lawley Arts and Crafters Network please email lawleystewardship@bvt.org.uk. Don’t forget there’s also still time to get involved in the community art project, deadline is 12th April.
